Fixed orthodontic treatment
Fixed orthodontic treatment, also known as traditional braces, refers to orthodontic appliances which are attached to the teeth to gradually move them into their correct positions; however, unlike removable orthodontic appliances, such as clear aligners, fixed orthodontic appliances can’t be removed by the patient and require regular adjustments by an orthodontist.
Clear aligner treatment
Clear aligner treatment involves the use of customised, removable trays made of clear plastic to straighten teeth and correct orthodontic problems. They offer a discreet and comfortable alternative to traditional braces through a series of aligners that are changed regularly.
Surgical orthodontics
Surgical orthodontics is a collaboration between surgical procedures and orthodontic treatment to correct severe dental and skeletal discrepancies. Surgical procedures range from minor surgical procedures, such as surgical exposure of an impacted tooth, to orthognathic surgery, also known as corrective jaw surgery.
Adult orthodontics
Adult orthodontics involves the correction of dental misalignments and bite irregularities in individuals typically beyond their teenage years. Treatment options may include braces, clear aligners, or other orthodontic appliances tailored to address the unique needs of adult patients, aiming to improve oral health, function, and aesthetics.
“Smiles are the poetry of life,
and orthodontics is the art that helps create the masterpiece.”
